I run technology for private capital firms. The kind of IT nobody has to think about.
For twenty-five years I've built and operated the systems behind organizations where downtime isn't an option: state government, and then nearly two decades inside two of the most active private equity firms in the world. Servers, networks, cloud migrations, security programs, and the white-glove service that keeps a few hundred demanding people moving.
Good infrastructure is like a fine watch movement. When it's properly designed and engineered, you never think about its accuracy. You just expect it.
02 / What I do
Taking firms from legacy on-premises infrastructure to modern cloud architecture without anyone's Monday being interrupted. Consolidating redundant systems, cutting cost, and moving real workflows onto AI agents and automation.
Cybersecurity programs sized for firms that are prime targets: phish testing and training, endpoint security, MFA, backup and disaster recovery. Measured results, not theater.
Bringing firms into compliance and keeping them there: Reg S-P, CCPA, GDPR, and the frameworks behind them. Translating regulatory requirements into controls people actually follow.
Investors and executives don't file tickets and wait. I build IT support cultures where the fix arrives quietly, quickly, and correctly, in the office or across time zones.

Regional Systems Specialist. Desktop support and deployment projects across East Texas field offices.
Systems Support Analyst. Primary IT contact for the Commissioner's office of a 50,000-person state agency.
Systems Administrator. Servers, networks, security, and support for one of the world's largest technology-focused private equity firms.
Led all IT operations across three global offices, in San Francisco, New York, and London, for a firm that had grown to roughly $25 billion under management. Guided the transition from legacy on-premises infrastructure to cloud architecture and built the firm's phishing-testing and security training program.

04 / Roots
Tyler, TX → Austin, TX → San Francisco, CA
I started out with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, driving between East Texas field offices fixing whatever needed fixing. Austin came next, supporting the agency's senior leadership at the state capitol. In 2007 I pivoted to private equity and moved to San Francisco.
Home is the Inner Sunset, the fog-cooled neighborhood just south of Golden Gate Park, where I'm the proud steward of one of its original homes, a Victorian built in 1904. Beyond the house, I just try to be a good neighbor and support the community that makes this corner of the city feel like home.
